This class, taught by Lisa Fitzgerald a Cooley Dickinson Hospital IBCLC via zoom, is an introduction to infant feeding, especially what to expect in the first hours, days and weeks after birth. It includes the beginning and continuation of your breastfeeding/chestfeeding relationship with your baby.
The focus is on the importance of a good latch/positioning, creating milk volume/supply, breastfeeding/chestfeeding duration and frequency.
Also included is a discussion around the newborn procedures done during your time at the Childbirth Center.
Resources will be provided for finding lactation support in the community, There will also be time for questions. This is an ideal class for first time parents and experienced parents alike!
The class is virtual. You will be sent a zoom link when you register. Class fee is $45.00
