Biography
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. McBride joined Hampshire Orthopedics in March 1996.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1984 and spending a subsequent year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. McBride realized his true passion was medicine. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Health Sciences Center, Syracuse, in 1989, where he then completed his internship and orthopedic residency. He later completed sports medicine fellowships at American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham and at Sportsmed SA in Adelaide, South Australia.
In addition to his work at the West Hatfield office, Dr. McBride is highly involved with the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He provides care once weekly at University Health Services as well as orthopedic athletic injury care at training room facilities. In addition, Dr. McBride, along with Dr. Kurtis, provides sideline football coverage for UMass.
Dr. McBride is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He is also a member of the New England Orthopedic Society.
