PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program

The PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Cooley Dickinson Hospital (CDH) is dedicated to training pharmacists in becoming well rounded pharmacy practitioners in a collaborative environment. Residents are exposed to several acute care experiences such as critical care, internal medicine, and emergency medicine, as well as outpatient experiences such as oncology and medication therapy management at outpatient clinics. Teaching and precepting opportunities are also available.

Pharmacy Student Teaching opportunities
Many pharmacy student teaching opportunities are available through our affiliation with a number of local colleges of pharmacy, including precepting opportunities for APPE students. Classroom teaching opportunities are also available.

Interdisciplinary Education
Interdepartmental and interdisciplinary education opportunities are available to residents, including Simulation training, In-services, formal “Grand Rounds” and journal clubs.

  • Medication Safety (longitudinal)
  • Pharmacy and Therapeutics (longitudinal)
