Nurses at Cooley Dickinson work with advanced imaging, surgical and infection control technologies, including at the modern Kittredge Surgery Center, the Mass General Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and in home care at Cooley Dickinson VNA & Hospice. There are ongoing opportunities for professional development; nurses are encouraged to continue formal education through generous tuition reimbursement programs, and to participate in hospital-wide innovation and improvement initiatives. Nursing leaders have a voice in policy decisions and are active in helping to determine the future of health care at the hospital and its affiliated practices.
As part of a team of dedicated, compassionate healthcare professionals, you’ll work on the front lines of community medical care as a point person for educating patients and their families. You’ll also likely be asked to be a willing ear for a story that wants a listener, a pillar of emotional strength for someone who needs just a little more support, and a witness to remarkable lives that may otherwise often be eclipsed by loved ones’ other responsibilities and the general pace of modern life outside. In short, you will be incredibly important to a lot of people.
Why Nurse at Cooley Dickinson?
“The rewards are often extremely simple. It’s just bringing a smile to someone who’s frightened, or helping them get their pain under control—it’s the simple things, every day, just to make things a little bit better for that person.”
– Amanda Dixon, RN, Critical Care Unit
